WEEK 6: SEC RANKINGS ARE ALL ****ED UP

I joked on Saturday night that my SEC rankings were this: 1-15: F**k knows 16: Mississippi State. And that’s probably right. Texas is the No.1 team in the nation and – by virtue of not playing while the unbridled carnage was happening around – would go as No.1 in my view. But are they really better than Georgia? Does Vanderbilt’s win over Alabama automatically mean that they are better than Alabama? Or Arkansas’ win over Tennessee mean that Sam Pittman’s team is better than the Vols? SEC Week 7 Power Rankings: Georgia makes statement

If last week was a sleepy wander for the Georgia Bulldogs, this week was absolute savagery. Kentucky was destroyed 51-13, and that result was probably kind on them. Elsewhere, Alabama did their usual squeaking-by of Texas A&M, LSU got over the line in a shoot-out against Missouri, Ole Miss comfortably beat a terrible Arkansas team, Florida thumped a woeful Vanderbilt, and Mississippi State did something about Western Michigan. Everyone else gave Bye Week a good seeing-to. Week 3 SEC Preview: A underrated weekend

There’s an expression in Britain that says: “They’re a bit of a wanker”. It’s basically the same as what you’d say in the USA about someone being a jerk-off, but with less words. There are other terms: A pile of ‘wank’ (American translation: ‘Crap’), we ‘wanked all over them’ (American translation: Smashed them), ‘Wankered’ (American translation hammered), and ‘Wanky’. Now ‘wanky’ is a term for someone or something that’s pretentious (ie ‘That’s a bit wanky). Can Auburn turn things around? Week 5 Preview

While CBS will be headlining Alabama vs Tennessee, the key game for the weekend will once against be involving Auburn, as pressure once agains rises against Gus Malzahn when the Tigers go to Ole Miss. Otherwise, it’s South Carolina playing LSU and Kentucky travelling to Missouri. It’s not the weakest SEC slate around, but it’s certainly one of the lightest….. SEC East Preview: Can Georgia continue its roll?

We know that 2020 is going to be difficult for all sorts of reasons. COVID-19 has put a spectre like no other on the SEC season. After Week 9: Still trying to work out the top of the SEC…

Even more annoying than Gary Danielson’s voice, the CBS break-f0r-advert music, and SEC’s non-understanding of the holding law on Saturday was trying to work out – some hours after the dust had settled – who in the hell was the best team in the SEC. LSU’s offense had been stymied by Auburn, but still did enough to win (if Auburn had had any offense, this article might be different). Alabama destroyed Arkansas…….but it was Arkansas. At the bottom, it’s easier. Arkansas is the bum of the division, and might well be one of the worst Power-5 teams in the country (CONFIDENT BET: They would beat Rutgers).
