National Championship Preview: Alabama vs Ohio State

Since we last wrote this, here’s some news: Alabama is going to play in the National Championship against Ohio State (more about that later). Crimson Tide WR DeVonta Smith won the Heisman. Speaking of Auburn, the Tigers just hired Bryan Harsin to be their head coach. Former South Carolina OC Mike Bobo will be new OC, and former Vanderbilt HC Derek Mason will be the new DC. Speaking of Vanderbilt, the Commodores hired Notre Dame DC Clark Lea to be their head coach.d Texas is hiring Alabama’s OC Steve Sarkasian to be its head coach. The Players to watch for Alabama vs Georgia

It’s the biggest game of the season, and it’s probably the biggest game of most regular seasons since the LSU vs Alabama 9-6 debacle in 2011. So who are the players to watch? GEORGIA Stetson Bennett (QB): Bennett has been the perfect game manager since coming on in the second half of the Arkansas game. To say the least, he’s been an amazing success, throwing for 958 yards and 5 TDS. He’s not been spectacular, but he’s one of the most accurate passers in the country, with a QB rating of 93.5. He hasn’t thrown an interception either. He’ll face an Alabama secondary that was ripped to piece by Ole Miss last week, and is definitely trying to find itself.

Georgia is the best, LSU one of the worst: Week 3 SEC Ranking

It was a weird week in the SEC. The Big 12 actually had some pretty good, low-scoring games, while the SEC was a scorefest of legendary proportions. Alabama and Ole Miss was 63-48, Missouri beat LSU 45-41, Texas A&M beat Florida 41-38, Auburn beat Arkansas 30-28, Georgia humiliated Tennessee 44-21, South Carolina smashed Vanderbilt 41-7 and the weirdest game was at Lexington, where Kentucky beat Mississippi State 24-2. Let’s not get this wrong – it was a humbling day for losers and winners. Here are our ranks for the SEC this week. 1. Georgia (3-0).
