I have a friend called Davis who’s a Florida fan. He’s still basking in the wake of Florida’s March Madness victory, but he said yesterday was one of the best days of his life. Why? Because Florida finally fired Billy Napier. Napier had come aboard after two bowl wins following brilliant seasons at Louisiana-Lafayette, but his 11-14 record – including zero wins against Georgia, 1-4 against Tennesee and 1-3 against Florida State. He was also 5-17 against ranked opponents, which probably would have made him a hero at Penn State, but in the SEC (where he went 12-16 in conference play), that was never going to go down well. WEEK 4: SEC PREDICTIONS

Dear Lord it’s a boring week in the SEC… So here are your very short list of predictions 1. Florida at Miami (-7.5): Florida’s not the train wreck everyone thinks they are, and if they wipe stupid penalties away, this’ll be close(ish). The problem? Wiping out the stupid penalties. Oh, and CJ Lagway has to perform better than the LSU game (not hard, I know). And they have to stop a high-powered Miami team, which has been playing virtually spotless football on both sides of the ball.  PREDICTION: Miami by 10. 2. Week 2 SEC Impressed/Depressed List: Florida ain’t good

    So my buddy Davis was so excited about Florida this year. Still high from the National Championship in basketball, he’s been full of the joys of Spring. He talked about the speed. The fight. He told me: “This is a year where things are going to be better. We’ve got a lot of speed, we’ll be fine”. SEC Week 7 Power Rankings: Georgia makes statement

If last week was a sleepy wander for the Georgia Bulldogs, this week was absolute savagery. Kentucky was destroyed 51-13, and that result was probably kind on them. Elsewhere, Alabama did their usual squeaking-by of Texas A&M, LSU got over the line in a shoot-out against Missouri, Ole Miss comfortably beat a terrible Arkansas team, Florida thumped a woeful Vanderbilt, and Mississippi State did something about Western Michigan. Week 11 Review: Bad week for Kentucky, another one for Texas A&M

The news that Texas A&M had a shitty weekend is hardly surprising. Jimbo Fisher’s side is on one of the worst slide’s in his career, and certainly in the Aggies’ small SEC history. It’s so bad that you wouldn’t shocked if there’s the sort of field invasion that there was in 2021 when the Aggies turned over Alabama…even though the competition is UMass. As we know, the ‘Supreme’ Court made a ruling yesterday that public school officials could pray, because it’s a First Amendment thing. With that in mind, here’s a few public SEC figures that we think could deliver one hell of a prayer. And this includes Texas and Oklahoma, because we believe in Prophecy (Manning 3: 42).
