Vanderbilt has added defensive end Landon Stokes to its 2013 recruiting class, 24-7sports has reported. The Orlando Prep star had offers and interest from over 30 schools, including Missouri, the two Mississippi schools, as well as Clemson and West Virginia. Wide receiver Scott Austin has committed to Mississippi State, it has been widely reported. The 6 ft 4, 180 lbs receiver out of Biloxi was ranked as the 14th best player in the State by Rivals. "It came to the point where I had a lot of stress on me on where I wanted to go and who really wanted me at heart," he told the Clarion-Ledger. "MSU has five receivers leaving and this is a good opportunity to probably start as a true freshman." The University of Florida have added a commitment at quarterback for its 2013 class, Gatorsports.com reported on Monday. Three-star Quarterback Max Staver committed to Will Muschamp's side, decided to go for Gainseville instead of Dan Mullen's Mississippi State, who had also given him an offer. Georgia has added its 19th recruit of the 2013 season: Rico Johnson. Johnson, out of Swainsboro, Georgia, accepted after being offered a place at Saturday's Mark Richt camp, the AJC reported. He told the paper: "That was my dream school; I always wanted to go there," he said. “I told myself if I ever got an offer from Georgia, that would be the school I would go to.” He isn't listed in any of Rivals' rankings after swapping high schools, the AJC said, but added Appalachian State and Marshall had both offered him scholarships. Vanderbilt continued an excellent recruiting season so far by adding the commitment of cornerback Darius Sims from Memphis - the 11th ranked player in the State. This was widely reported on Twitter. Sims, who is ranked as a three-star defensive back by Rivals committed to the Commodores on Sunday. Vanderbilt beat Alabama, Mississippi State, Ole Miss amongst other schools to Sims. According to reports, the Nation's No.1 recruit, Robert Nkemdiche, has decided to play for the Clemson Tigers instead of LSU, Alabama or Georgia in the SEC. Twitter was abuzz in the early evening saying the stud defensive end had decided to play his football in the 'Other' Death Valley. Top Texas cornerback Tavares Garner has committed to Texas A&M, it has been widely reported. Garner, who is a four-star cornerback according to Rivals, spurned offers from a number of Big XII schools as well as Mississippi State, de-committed from Texas Tech prior to his decision to move to College Station. According to ESPN Insider, Garner decided not to play for Tech on Friday. It's been a big week for the Aggies, who saw linebacker Reggie Chavis decide to play SEC football at Kyle Field on Tuesday.
