According to reports, the Nation’s No.1 recruit, Robert Nkemdiche, has decided to play for the Clemson Tigers instead of LSU, Alabama or Georgia in the SEC. Twitter was abuzz in the early evening saying the stud defensive end had decided to play his football in the ‘Other’ Death Valley. The player had been recruited across the country, although more heavily by Alabama, LSU, Georgia, USC, South Carolina and Ole Miss. 247Sports, quoting sources, said the player opted for Clemson after an official visit. Recruiting: Top CB commits to Texas A&M

Top Texas cornerback Tavares Garner has committed to Texas A&M, it has been widely reported. Garner, who is a four-star cornerback according to Rivals, spurned offers from a number of Big XII schools as well as Mississippi State, de-committed from Texas Tech prior to his decision to move to College Station. According to ESPN Insider, Garner decided not to play for Tech on Friday. It’s been a big week for the Aggies, who saw linebacker Reggie Chavis decide to play SEC football at Kyle Field on Tuesday. Texas A&M now has 19 commitments.

Four-star wide receiver Carlos Burse has committed to Vanderbilt. Burse said on Twitter this morning: “So it’s about that time!! I’d like to let everyone know that…. My commitment goes to the Vanderbilt Commodores! ‪#AnchorDown‬ ‪#VU‬“ Burse, who was offered by the likes of Florida, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Tennessee, and Oklahoma- and had interest from Alabama, plays his school in Alpharetta, GA. Auburn has added defensive end Tashawn Bower, according to reports. The three-star weakside defensive end from New Jersey opted for Auburn on Tuesday. He said on his Twitter feed: “Just committed to auburn #wareagle“. In another tweet, he asked the media to stop nagging him for an interview: “Dear media please stop calling my phone #it‘s dying”. He’s thought of as the 8th best defensive end in New Jersey, and had a number of offers, including SEC schools Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky and Ole Miss. In fact, there weren’t a lot of schools in the country that didn’t chase him.

Recruiting: Mississippi State gets three more commitments

Just when you thought it was safe to put away your cowbell, Mississippi State has just received three more major commitments – both on the attacking side of the ball. First of all, four-star running back Kailo Moore, who hails from Rosedale, Mississippi, opted to play for Dan Mullen’s 2013 class. Moore ran for nearly 1,500 yards and 19 touchdowns for West Bolivar, and he’s got frightening speed. He’s Rivals’ No.12 running back in the nation, and the second in the state. The Mississippi State Bulldogs added two commitments on Monday, the Starkville Daily News has reported. Floridian quarterback Cord Sandberg – noted by the News as being “top quarterback prospect on the MSU recruiting board” told the Daily News: “”I wanted to play football in the SEC. That was important to me. Recruiting: Arkansas lands top Oklahoma recruit

Arkansas has added its seventh commitment of its 2013 class, ArkansasSports360 has reported. Khari Harding, a three-star recruit from Oklahoma ranked 12th amongst players in his position in the state by Yahoo Rivals, was heavily recruited by Indiana before decided to play for the Razorbacks. “I just like the physicality in the SEC,” Harding told the Oklahoman. “That’s part of me, being physical and coming down and hitting.” He said that they were on the top of his list for a while. He added: “I’ve been really interested in them. I went there and I liked the coaches, the fans, the facilities and what they’re doing around there.” Harding was in the Top 10 of the Oklahoman’s in-state recruits.

Junior College offensive lineman Leon Brown has signed for Alabama, Al.com has reported. The lineman is Nick Saban’s 17th of the 2013 season, and hails from Asa College in Brooklyn, New York. He told BamaOnline: “I talked to [Alabama offensive line coach] Coach Stoutland and Coach Saban and they both said they were proud about my decision and couldn’t wait to get me down there. Georgia has beaten Georgia Tech to the commitment for 4-star linebacker Naim Mustafaa, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution has reported. He told the AJC: “I made my decision about a week ago; I just had to come down to Georgia and tell them face to face. It just came down to where I wanted to be, really.
