So who’s gonna be next for Texas A&M?

Now Jimbo’s been pushed out of the door at Texas A&M, immediately tongues are wagging about who’s next up. Here are our runners and riders, with Duke’s Mike Elko seemingly the run away fan favorite. THE FAVORITE Mike Elko: Has turned around Duke from a national joke to a ACC competitor, which has included a win over Clemson this year. Currently 15-8 in Raleigh. Was a great defensive coordinator in College Station. Defenses average 25th in the country between 2018-2021. More importantly, wasn’t fired by Fisher. WHO SHOULD GET A CALL Brian Hartline: Ohio State is a bigger job than Texas A&M, and all he’s done in his time at Ohio State is recruit talent. Puts endless amount of wide

Auburn vs Oregon: We can’t wait!!

OK, so we might hate the idea of one-off non-conference games during the regular season, but we have to be honest, the confirmation that Auburn’s going to play Oregon in 2019 at JerryWorld is INCREDIBLE. WE. CAN’T. WAIT. Of course, we would have preferred a home-and-home. And so would Oregon season ticket holders (Eugene’s a 32 hour drive from Dallas). And possibly Auburn season ticket holders (10 hrs, 52 mins). But the TV companies? Definitely not. The conferences? Definitely not. This is a top echelon conference showcase between two superpowers. And the schools? It’s going to be a nice payday, thanks very much. And if they win, their chances of going to the play-off (which might be up to 8

Alabama-LSU re-takes focus of college football: Week 11 SEC Predictions

So, it was a pretty crazy Thursday after all. Baylor was restricted for a quarter-or-so then broke out the whooping stick on Oklahoma. Then, unbeaten Oregon rolled into Stanford….and lost 26-20 in a game that they trailed 26-0 and were owned in. Anyway, Saturday night’s alright for fighting…..or Alabama to play LSU. The game last year was incredible, but not a lot of people are anticipating the 2013 version from Tuscalossa to be that good. Anyway, here’s your Week 11 Predictions. LSU AT ALABAMA Because of the size of Thursday’s games, the LSU-Alabama has been slightly overshadowed this week. There’s also the fact that LSU’s losses to Georgia and Ole Miss means that they currently stand 13th in the rankings

Why The SEC Should be Watching Oregon/Stanford/Baylor/Oklahoma on Thursday Night

To steal an Elton John song, Thursday’s night’s alright for fightin’. Because this Thursday night, I’m going for forgo my ‘But it’s not SEC football’ and concentrate on not one but TWO ranked battles going on elsewhere in the country between the fast cats of Baylor and Oklahoma and THAT GAME between Oregon and Stanford. And you know what? There’s a few reasons why SEC fans should watch: 1) The winner of either game could be Alabama’s National Championship opponent. We forecast ‘Bama to make the SEC title game, win that, and go to the National Championship Game. Everyone’s talking about Florida State, Oregon or perhaps Baylor battling it out with the Crimson Tide in Pasadena. Well, both Baylor and

Here come the Tigers!!! SEC Power Rankings Week 7

Right, it was a pretty nuts absolutely ****ing crazy weekend in college football. CRAZY. Stanford goes down to Utah.  4 overtimes in Happy Valley see Michigan lose to Penn State. Several ranked teams struggle….including Clemson and Baylor. In the SEC, injury-hit Georgia (almost predictably….apart from Vegas) lost to Missouri, who had a BIG INJURY of their own. Florida was awful in its loss at LSU, who found a defense for the first time this season. Oh, and Johnny Football was Johnny Football. Anyway, here’s our SEC Power Rankings, which are proving increasingly difficult. 1) Alabama: This one’s pretty easy. Alabama maybe caused themselves one of the biggest upsets of the season, by coming out of the first quarter with Kentucky scoreless.

Can Ole Miss score revenge in Austin? Rest of the SEC Week 3 previewed

Yep, there’s a small game in College Station this weekend. But let’s just make this clear: There are other SEC games out there and some of them could be pretty exciting. OLE MISS AT TEXAS OK, to Ole Miss runs a similar – if faster – offense to BYU’s, which ran for nearly 560 yards against Texas’ defense last Saturday. UT’s defensive frailties cost defensive co-ordinator Manny Diaz his job (he should have gone at the end of last season, in my view), but the eyes of Texas are now on coach Mack Brown, who is sitting on a white-hot hot seat. His Texas ‘D’ will be facing a fast-paced Hugh Freeze offense, which is on the up after two
