The Southeastern Conference is going to vote for an eight game schedule (including one permanent opponent), and the fans are going to be completely screwed. Texas & Oklahoma to come to SEC in 2024

Finally, we know when Texas and Oklahoma are coming the SEC. It will be in 2024. The deal with the Big 12, ESPN and FOX was thrashed out, with Fox – who would lose a bunch of game inventory – including the Red River Shoot-Out in 2024 – being the major losers in the situation – finally coming around to a deal where they would be ‘paid back’ in inventory. I’m sure that FOX also ensured themselves on ‘first pick’ of Texas and Oklahoma’s non-conference games or something like that. I got in an argument after I posting a quick 1-14 SEC ranking on my Twitter page in which I ranked Georgia as third, with Tennessee on top and Alabama as second. Anyway, Week 5 is finished now. As we know, the ‘Supreme’ Court made a ruling yesterday that public school officials could pray, because it’s a First Amendment thing. With that in mind, here’s a few public SEC figures that we think could deliver one hell of a prayer. And this includes Texas and Oklahoma, because we believe in Prophecy (Manning 3: 42). The SEC Future: How a 3-6 schedule would work

Everyone talked about the new SEC schedule. Regardless of what Greg Sankey would love to say, the SEC is going to follow the Pac-12 – (and Big 12 a few years before that, incidentally), and go for a system where the best two team in the SEC play each other in the SEC Championship Game. And that system would be 9 games, and not 8. South Carolina grabs two top transfers from portal

South Carolina has made the early SEC splash in the transfer portal by getting commitments from former Oklahoma QB Spencer Rattler, and his teammate Austin Stogner. This will significantly upgrade South Carolina’s offensive room, where they were a putrid 109th out of 130 in points-per-game. Rattler and Stogner leave as part of a wave of players leaving Norman after head coach Lincoln Riley departed for USC (the other one!) two weeks ago. And while it is hardly a surprise bearing in mind that South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer worked on Oklahoma’s staff from 2018 to 2020 as an assistant head coach as well tight ends coach.
