SEC Preview: Is Alabama really an underdog?

This is going to sound incredibly silly, but Alabama may well go into this season as an underdog. Not in many games, but in the National Championship discussion. For years, there isn’t an Alabama player that’s been especially memorable. The rock stars  – like Will Anderson Jr or Bryce Young are gone. Jahmyr Gibbs is gone. Henry To’oto’o is gone.  That’s a hell of a lot of talent. The reason for this is simple: Alabama was meant to be everything when Young and Gibbs were anchoring the offense and Anderson, Demarco Hellams, Brian Branch and To’oto’o were anchoring the defense. SEC Preview: Will Petrino’s arrival propel Texas A&M?

2022 and 2023 were meant to be banner years for Texas A&M. Buoyed by a NIL fund worth hundreds of millions, the Aggies recruited its best class in decades. Then, they fell apart. Half of the that group transferred. A&M lost to Appalachian State and played a lot of football, but should have beaten Alabama and DID beat LSU. The Southeastern Conference is going to vote for an eight game schedule (including one permanent opponent), and the fans are going to be completely screwed. This cycle, Alabama and Georgia were once again dominant in the recruiting game. Week 11 Review: Bad week for Kentucky, another one for Texas A&M

The news that Texas A&M had a shitty weekend is hardly surprising. Jimbo Fisher’s side is on one of the worst slide’s in his career, and certainly in the Aggies’ small SEC history. SEC: Georgia leads the Red Wave

Once again, Georgia found itself in the bright lights of the Nation, and once again, Georgia delivered. No, we’re not talking about the mid-terms, where adverts for candidates became turn-on-silent-and-maybe-go-grab-a-beer-TV for a majority of college football games this season (ESPN+ was the only one not to show any), we’re talking about the absolute savages who dominated Tennessee on Saturday. Georgia shocked the Vols by punching them in the mouth repeatedly, behind a ravenous 90-something crowd that was so ‘loud that people definitely came out hoarse, but with the added flavor of tinnitus. SEC Week 6: Tennessee continues to drop jaws, Arkansas just drops

South Carolina scored the most stunning win of the SEC calendar in Week 6 when they beat Kentucky on their own turf. Also, Texas A&M was a dumbass decision away from upsetting Alabama for the second year in a row on its own turf in a game plagued by turnovers, while Georgia happily destroyed Auburn. Otherwise, Tennessee went to Death Valley and destroyed LSU 40-13, Mississippi State took advantage of a porous Arkansas secondary (to put it mildly), Florida beat Missouri and Ole Miss did what was expected of them by beating Vanderbilt with a strong second half performance. Anyway, here are our Week 6 rankings… Tennessee (5-0): We all thought this would be a tight game in Death Valley.
