Despite Alabama’s success, where’s Calvin Ridley?

In March we said that star Alabama WR Calvin Ridley was ripe for a rebound from a disappointing 2016. Well, it doesn’t seem this is the case. Well, this season things are even worse for him. Over the last four weeks Ridley has been thrown to a grand total of 20 times, averaging just five receptions per game at an average of 13.1 yards per reception (262 yards). While that isn’t bad – his 13.1 yards per reception is much better than his averages in his first and second years – if this goes on, he’ll only be thrown to a grand total of 60 times, which will be well below his freshman and sophomore averages. How will the SEC load up the 2015 NFL Draft?

The NFL Draft is coming, and with it, more SEC glory. We may not have Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota or even Leonard Williams to boast about, but we do have Dante Fowler Jr (Florida), Amari Cooper (Alabama), Todd Gurley (Georgia) and Shane Ray (Missouri). 2014 SEC Preview: Alabama: Good schedule, good team, SEC favorite

Now we’ve done our SEC champions (Auburn and Missouri), it’s time we focus on the perennial favorite: Alabama. Alabama looked unbeatable all season long, until Auburn came along with ‘Kick Six’ to ruin their chances of going to Atlanta and the National Championship Game and Oklahoma beat the living hell out of them in the Sugar Bowl. Well, ‘Bama has reloaded and they are BACK, people. You know, if they’d ever left….. LAST SEASON Johnny Football scared the crap out of Alabama with a heroic performance, but the Crimson Tide won out 49-42. The rest of the games of the season simply were not close….until they were to Jordan-Hare Stadium for the Iron Bowl. Alabama went for the long, game-ending,
