Star Georgia running back Todd Gurley has been suspended an extra two games by the NCAA - meaning that he'll be back for the Auburn game at Sanford Stadium on November 15th. Every Georgia fan on Twitter seemed to erupt in celebration with the news that Georgia had applied (well, at least they had at the time of writing since it was 4 hours ago) to the NCAA to get Todd Gurley out of playing purgatory and restated to the team. Today Georgia suspended its best player and Heisman hopeful running back Todd Gurley indefinitely for an "alleged violation of NCAA rules". In shocking news, this weekend news emerged that yet another UGA player had been arrested - the seventh this off-season. This time it was reserve lineback Davin Bellamy for DUI and speeding in Athens. According to the Athens Banner-Herald, Bellamy was "clocked going 52 in a 35 mph zone heading east on College Station Road in Athens at 2:58 a.m when his 2001 Volvo was pulled over in the Kroger parking lot." Georgia linebacker James DeLoach and freshman defensive end Jonathan Taylor will not face suspensions from Mark Richt after being arrested for cashing checks illegally. The two players were told that they would face "significant internal discipline" but no suspensions, according to a number of reports. They were accepted into a pre-trial intervention program. You can't make this up - Georgia has dismissed another secondary player. This time, it's rising sophomore Tray Matthews. With Josh Harvey-Clemons and Shaq Wiggins off the team, the Bulldogs' secondary was already looking a little thin, and then Mark Richt hit the Bulldog Nation with this bomb.
