These SEC Draftees Will Make An Impact In 2015

After another highly-successful NFL Draft, SEC draftees from 2015 are GOING to make an impact in 2015. Sadly, after his ACL tear on Friday in the Jacksonville Jaguars’ first minicamp, one of them’s not going to be the SEC’s No.1 pick, Dante Fowler (went  No.3 in the draft). 1.    AMARI COOPER (OAKLAND RAIDERS) The former Alabama wide receiver was taken as the best player at that position on the board, despite others seeming to love Kevin White. If his quarterback can throw properly to him, Cooper’s going to cause havoc. 2.    TODD GURLEY (ST LOUIS RAMS) Look, we know he probably won’t start the first few games for the Rams because of his bust ankle, but Todd Gurley (TGIII ANYONE?)

How will the SEC load up the 2015 NFL Draft?

The NFL Draft is coming, and with it, more SEC glory. We may not have Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota or even Leonard Williams to boast about, but we do have Dante Fowler Jr (Florida), Amari Cooper (Alabama), Todd Gurley (Georgia) and Shane Ray (Missouri). WHAT HAPPENED LAST YEAR? Yes, we get that our No.1 Draft pick from last year – South Carolina monster Jadeveon Clowney hasn’t panned out as we had hoped for – but that was a mixture of Houston’s turf and a hell of a lot of bad luck. LSU head coach Les Miles transcript in full at SEC Media Days

LSU head coach Les Miles is ALWAYS nothing short of entertaining when it comes to a press conference, and this year was no difference. Instead of picking out the juicy bits, the whole press conference was simply….awesome. And you’ll find out Austin has no beach (I think he was pissed about being misinformed about Lake Austin), and that his daughter’s a helluva ballplayer. Anyway, the guys at ASAP (I got this via the Twitter of Barrett Sallee at Bleacher Report) faithfully wrote up this press conference, and we thought we’d simply show it to you in all its glory. And warning: The first few paragraphs are just a Les Miles diatribe about how great the Tigers are going to be this

Manziel: “Leaving Texas A&M was a horrible mistake”

Leaving Texas A&M after just two years of being the starting quarterback for the Aggies was a massive mistake, Johnny Manziel has revealed. The Heisman-winning quarterback of 2012 said in an interview: “After the Pro Day at College Station, and I realized: I made a horrible mistake leaving College Station a year early. I could have stayed another year, got through some of my errors – I still regret some of those turnovers- and won the Heisman again.” And let’s face it: Manziel is from a family who doesn’t exactly need the money, either. Manziel’s career with Texas A&M was sparkling: He threw for 7,820 yards and 63 TDs. And ran for 2,169 and 30 TDs. And missed an extra
