15 SEC Players We’re Going To Miss When This Season Is Over

Right, so we love our SEC players almost as much as we like our SEC co-eds, our SEC stadiums, our SEC tailgates and as much as we hate the postgame SEC traffic. Anyway, so here are 15 players we are really, really, really, really, really, really going to miss when this season is over. And if you think I’ve overdone it on the word: “Really”, then you should “really” find a new life. 1. Johnny Manziel (Texas A&M): Johnny Mesmerising. Johnny Manziel has been so incredible for A&M this season that you know that when the 2013-4 season is over and Johnny Football becomes Johnny NFL (where he’ll probably get eaten alive), you’ll shed a tear. SEC Head Coaches: Who’s on the Hot Seat?

S Anyway, our 1-14 of SEC Coaches on the Hot Seat. Hint: If you’re No.14, you’re probably not going to get fired. Other hint: Some of the reasons are just stupid. 1) Will Muschamp (Florida): The offense is useless. The defense is useless. The last two punches in the face will be hit up for 40 by a Florida legend (Steve Spurrier), and hit up for 60 by your hated rival (Florida State). You know, after losing in laughable fashion to Miami and Vanderbilt, and losing to Georgia 3 times in a row. 2) Dan Mullen (Mississippi State): The Bulldogs have gone downhill ever since mid-season 2012. The Bulldogs can’t beat a Top-10 team. Heck, they can hardly beat anybody.

Alabama-LSU re-takes focus of college football: Week 11 SEC Predictions

So, it was a pretty crazy Thursday after all. Baylor was restricted for a quarter-or-so then broke out the whooping stick on Oklahoma. Then, unbeaten Oregon rolled into Stanford….and lost 26-20 in a game that they trailed 26-0 and were owned in. Anyway, Saturday night’s alright for fighting…..or Alabama to play LSU. The game last year was incredible, but not a lot of people are anticipating the 2013 version from Tuscalossa to be that good. Anyway, here’s your Week 11 Predictions. LSU AT ALABAMA Because of the size of Thursday’s games, the LSU-Alabama has been slightly overshadowed this week. Gamecocks Suddenly Back in SEC race: Week 9 SEC Power Rankings

This week wasn’t exactly that weird in the SEC. Missouri’s heart was broken by their kicker (and their defense, we’d like to add), but after that, Vandy was crushed by Texas A&M (who still gave up 24), Alabama slammered Tennessee (see what we’ve done there?), Auburn beat the ‘over’ against Florida Atlantic, and LSU was asleep in the first half against Furman (went 7-0 and 10-7 down before exploding and winning out 48-16)….but it didn’t cost them. We were going to go with a funny power rankings list but it’s been a long weekend, and we’re trying to get our head around the SEC tiebreakers ‘What Ifs’. 1) Alabama: Crushed Tennessee at home. SEC Power Rankings Week 5: Red Rises To The Top

OK, so the best game of the week (predictably) was in Athens, when Georgia took on LSU. The game wasn’t exactly defensively-minded, with the Dawgs coming out 44-41. In other worlds, Alabama reminded Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss that they had a lot of work to do still, while South Carolina and, er, Tennessee survived scares against mighty UCF and the even mightier South Alabama. Oh, and the Tyler Murphy experiment in Florida rolled to 2-0 after they slapped Kentucky. So here are our SEC Power Rankings: 1) Alabama – Beat Ole Miss comfortably. There are still worries about the running game (which came good in the second half), but the defense is one of the best in the SEC.

Mark Richt: For and Against Georgia’s Coach

There’s no denying that Georgia coach Mark Richt is one of life’s good guys. He’s a coach who is also just a really good guy. But Georgia fans don’t want decent guys. If they did, they’d hire a pastor. They want him to get over the hump, and not only win football games, but win BIG football games. And by BIG FOOTBALL GAMES, we mean National Championships – and wins over big time schools. They’re fed up by losing at Clemson, losing SEC Championship Games, and getting trundled at home by Alabama. Oh, and they HATE losing against Steve Spurrier, too. Georgia fans, celebrate: Aaron Murray’s coming back

Aaron Murray’s coming back to Georgia, it seems. The UGA quarterback tweeted: “Blessed to be the QB for the Dawgs, not ready to leave just yet. Time to get back to work & help lead this team to a championship #GoDawgs“ Murray threw for 3,893 yards and 36 TDs last season for a Georgia team that was five yards from making the National Championship and eventually beat Nebraska in the Capital One Bowl, thanks to Murray’s 500-odd yards of throwing. EXCLUSIVE: Could another UGA star de-commit after shock transfer decision?

Four-star Georgia recruit Brandon Kublanow has told The SEC Football Blog that he’s now uncertain as to whether he will be a Bulldog in 2013 after Mark Richt announced that linebacker / defensive end Brandon Burrows was to transfer.
