LSU defensive tackle Trey Lealaimatafao has been suspended by head coach Les Miles after being arrested for "simple battery and simple robbery", the Advocate has reported. The redshirt freshman was involved in a fight outside a Baton Rouge bar on Tuesday, where he dug through the pockets of a male victim after he and a group of other- unnamed- suspects, beat the man unconscious outside Reggie's Bar on Tuesday. We love Les Miles. We do. The grass-eating, kiss-you-all-on-the-mouth maverick coach pulls two or three results out his butt every year (and also loses a couple of games like that too!), loses talent every year, and still keeps LSU competitive. LSU's wide receivers coach Adam Henry has decided to return to the NFL, taking a job with the San Francisco 49ers as the team's wide receivers coach. Henry was in the job for two years after moving to Baton Rouge for five years with the Oakland Raiders, where he was offensive quality control coach and then tight ends coach. Under his watch, Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry were major difference-makers for the LSU and then in their rookie years in the NFL with the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins. Unsurprisingly, Alabama head coach Nick Saban is the top-ranked coach in college football, USA Today has reported. Despite a season where he didn't win his bowl game and lost to Auburn, Saban - who's Crimson Tide team is now the top-ranked team in the nation - still earned $7.1m in total pay in 2013 - including a base salary of $6.9m. Texas A&M's Kevin Sumlin was the second-most paid in the SEC and the fourth-best coach in college football, pulling in $5m in base salary, and $5.006m total. Well, Alabama's now the best team in the SEC again after the Crimson Tide beat Mississippi State, while Georgia suffered a phyrric victory while pummelling Auburn - they lost Todd Gurley for the season with a torn ACL (and probably the rest of his career). One of the funniest things about the LSU vs Alabama rivalry is the amount of crap that gets talked between the fans. Fans of both sides (using #LSUHateweek and #BamaHateWeek hashtag symbols) have peppered each other with pretty unoriginal Twitter messages all week long.
