National Championship Preview: Alabama vs Ohio State

Since we last wrote this, here’s some news: Alabama is going to play in the National Championship against Ohio State (more about that later). Crimson Tide WR DeVonta Smith won the Heisman. Speaking of Auburn, the Tigers just hired Bryan Harsin to be their head coach. Former South Carolina OC Mike Bobo will be new OC, and former Vanderbilt HC Derek Mason will be the new DC. Speaking of Vanderbilt, the Commodores hired Notre Dame DC Clark Lea to be their head coach.d Texas is hiring Alabama’s OC Steve Sarkasian to be its head coach. Jake Fromm declares for the NFL, Cade Mays declares for Transfer Portal

Two incidents, two moments, two…..Georgia? After a ton of Bulldog wailing and gnashing of teeth, Georgia quarterback decided that he’d had enough of Sanford, and declared for the NFL. For someone who has got worse as the season has gone on, his decision was questionable to say the least. For us, Fromm – after being taken in the 3rd round at best – is going to be a backup quarterback for a while. He’ll get his chance in 2022, and he’ll do fine. Or he’ll be another Chase Daniel, and make a ton of money as a back-up. Georgia fans love Fromm though. He came in for Jacob Eason after Easton got injured, took the starting job by the scruff

Georgia Preview 2018: Expect SEC East dominance

The Georgia Bulldogs will absolutely dominate the SEC East. We know this because the SEC East is a mixture of bad teams (Vanderbilt, Tennessee), teams with new coaches (Florida, Tennessee), teams that have an offense that is still trying to find itself (South Carolina), and a high-scoring team that plays no ‘D’ (Missouri). Georgia’s offense has found itself, is a good team, has the same coach, and plays ‘D’. The only problem for Georgia is how its SEC West schedule measures up – the Dawgs will definitely be playing Auburn (home) and LSU (road), and possibly Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.
