Auburn boots WR Kyle Davis

Auburn has dismissed WR Kyle Davis from the team for breaking team rules, head coach Gus Malzahn has revealed. “Anytime as a head coach a player has to be dismissed, that hurts,” Malzahn told the press today. “We’ve got a lot of great kids. Anytime that happens, it’s just another opportunity for someone else. So that’s the way I look at it.” It wasn’t Auburn’s first dismissal of the year. Auburn boots former starting QB White

Auburn has booted former starter Sean White after he was arrested for public intoxication on Saturday night. It wasn’t the first time White had been in trouble this season – he’d been suspended for the first two games of this season for undisclosed reasons. He must have taken the fact that Auburn coach Gus Malzahn brought in Jarrett Stidham as a transfer from Baylor pretty badly. Last year White showed great improvement from 2015, throwing for 1,679 yards, 9 TDs and 3 INTS, but he improved his accuracy greatly, going from 58.0 in his freshman year to 63.9 in his sophomore year. “Sean White is no longer a part of our football program at Auburn,” Malzahn said in a statement. “He

Auburn names Stidham as starting QB

Auburn has named transfer Jarrett Stidham as the Tigers starting quarterback for the 2017 season. Stidham, who transferred from Baylor after amassing 1,265 yards, 12 TDs and 2 INTs in just three games of his freshman season before he decided to leave in May 2016 following Art Briles’ firing following his ignoring of mass sexual abuse by his players on random females. Gus Malzahn will hope that Stidham will prove to be more successful than his trio of quarterbacks were in 2016. Jeremy Johnson, Sean White and Jonathan Franklin III all failed to catch fire. Five SEC coaches are among the top 12 college football coaches who should be looking over their shoulder come 2017, FoxSports.com has said. It’s THAT weekend again, which means that either you are going to have drunken yourself into a stupor by the time Rivalry Weekend comes around, or most of your Thursday-or-Friday-or-Saturday will be spent either talking crap at tailgates or talking crap while being stuck in traffic.
