Read moreEvery year we’ve put out our hot-seat list for 2025. Usually, there’s Auburn at the top and everywhere else just sitting there. However with NIL, schools would rather pay money on a wide receiver than they would giving a coach paid vay-cay. But with no further ado, here’s our 16 LET’S GET WORRIED. Sam Pittman (Arkansas): It’s not a matter of ‘if’, it’s a matter of ‘when’. The schedule is year is horrific for him, with games against Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Texas, LSU and Texas A&M. Our prediction is that Eli Drinkwitz will kick him when he’s down on the last day of the season. Billy Napier (Florida): Hugely under-pressure last year, the Gators played well down the stretch,

In our mind, they’ve gotta be SAEs, because they’ve got a ton of money and attract the Rock-Hunters. But we might be wrong. Kirby Smart: ‘The Prez’ has got the SEC hairdo, is slightly overweight, and can’t get enough of his visor. Doesn’t care what his guys do with their cars. After a few beers he can get belligerent and wants to fight everyone. But he wins. And that’s what this lot of SAEs care about. Barks at people. Eli Drinkwitz: ‘Smirky’ causes most of the crap and runs away having caused an almighty explosion. He’s dangerous because everyone likes his humor
Read moreFirst of all, the SEC could get four in the Play-Off (Georgia, Texas, Tennessee and one of Alabama, Ole Miss and South Carolina), but it’s unlikely. But the SEC Championship is set: Georgia v Texas in Atlanta. The AP Poll has made everything really interesting for SEC teams. We’ll keep you updated with the Play-Off Committee’s thoughts on Tuesday. Oh, and we think the SEC Championship Game is a waste of time. All the game is going to give us is injuries. And both sets of fans — while there is certainly going to be a massive boost to their egos by winning the conference — would rather have a week (or two) off before the play-offs. TEAMS DEFINITELY IN
Read moreGeorgia’s off to its second rough road game in three games, this time rolling into Oxford, where expectancy’s back to being sky-high after the Rebs smashed Arkansas on the road. Had they lost that, Lane Kiffin might be facing the hurricane of rage — as well as an almost-certain miss from a play-off spot. It’s gonna be fun in Oxford. It’s also Bama-LSU weekend, which is going to get everyone very excited. It’s also going to be a lot of fun because of the level of jeopardy on this, with the loser likely not to make the play-off. The atmosphere – even without Nick Saban there as a head coach – is likely to be off the hook (Going to
Read moreFor years on end, Vanderbilt has been the laughing stock of SEC Football. Look, we loved the coaches. James Franklin put the team on the map. Derek Mason brought the energy of a great coach, but wasn’t a great head coach (He’s now working for the SEC Network). And now Clark Lea’s here, who’s on a very long leash, and is willing to take things slowly. At least at Vanderbilt, they know nothing’s a quick fix. Lea went from 2-10 (0-8 SEC) in his first year to 5-7 last year, with a 2-6 record, which included wins over Florida and Kentucky. Anyway, we think that Vanderbilt is going to be just ‘fine’, this year. We haven’t a clue what means,
