With Tennessee playing Oklahoma, LSU visited Clangaville (Mississippi State), South Carolina playing Kentucky and Georgia playing Vanderbilt (as the CBS games - probably so CBS can say they've shown Vanderbilt this season), it's going to be an interesting-but-not-that-interesting Week 2 of the 2015 College Football Season.
So here's how we rank 'em....
LSU at Mississippi State
Starkville's going to be ROCKING on Saturday. The cowbells will be clanging, the screaming will be loud, and LSU will take a deep breath. The Tigers haven't played 2015, thanks to a lightning storm/downpour ensuring

This weekend wasn't the greatest for the Arkansas Razorbacks, after their top running back, Jonathan Williams, broke his foot in fall camp and is out for the rest of the season.
Now, a lot rests on some other players. How is this going to have an affect on the Hogs - who some believe could be battling it out for a SEC West title (or at least be much improved?)
LAST YEAR
This was the best 7-6 (2-6 in the SEC) team in the nation. Had Arkansas' kickers actually been able to do their job properly and their defense not choked up a late lead, the Razorbacks would have beaten Alabama and Texas

The SEC Media Days (July 13-16) don't generally have a whole lot, yet they are still entertaining. Maybe it's because Steve Spurrier is always guaranteed the good one-liner, maybe it's because Nick Saban's always whining about something that's wrong with college football, or maybe it's because we're all waiting for Les Miles to kiss one of his players on the mouth.
Here's what we think each school's going to get asked about.....and what they SHOULD get asked about....
ALABAMA
What they will ask Nick Saban: The evil schedule (The quotes that will get spouted will be: "We play in the

Arkansas has captured its eighth commitment of the 2016 recruiting class after OLB Alexy Jean-Baptiste decided he wanted to be a Razorback on Monday.
The 3-star recruit is from Coconut Creek HS in Pompano Beach, FL, and is 6-3 in height and weighs a tidy 205 lb.
24-7Sports.com rates him as the 55th-overall best linebacker in the nation, the 104th-best player in Florida, and 786th-best player in Florida.
He had 26 offers, including Kentucky, Miami, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Louisville, but Arkansas won a 3-way battle between themselves, the Hurricanes, and North Carolina.

It's only the start of June, but we can't wait for the start of the SEC season. We here at the SEC Football Blog LOVE the College World Series (with half of the field coming from the SEC, what good Southerner couldn't?), but we still can't wait until the Fall. And for the temperatures to drop a little.
Anyway, so here's 50 things we're looking forward to in the SEC season. We start with the running backs....
And we haven't even gotten onto the match-ups!! That'll be soon!!
1) Alabama's Derrick Henry running over people. Or past people. The kid's a Heisman candidate. And the best RB in

Arkansas has lost its running backs coach Joel Thomas to the New Orleans Saints, it has been reported.
Sports Illustrated senior writer Thayer Evans tweeted the news first, saying: "Arkansas RBs coach Joel Thomas has accepted same job w/ New Orleans Saints per sources."
Last year Arkansas was 24th in the nation in rushing offense, running for 2,834 total yards (218 yards per game). The running game - led by RBs Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams - ran for around 5 yards per rush and 31 touchdowns.
The news comes just a few weeks after Thomas signed a contract extension with the school

Arkansas has given head coach Bret Bielema a two-year contract extension through 2020, in a deal that will earn the coach at least $4m a year.
The Razorbacks will raise Bielema's salary by $100,000 per year, and have also added incentives for athletic and academic success that could give 'Bert' an extra $1m a year.
ESPN.com noted that Bielema becomes the eighth SEC coach to earn at least $4m a year.
Jeff Long, Arkansas' AD said: "Coach Bret Bielema is not only one of the best college football coaches in the nation, he is an outstanding leader. What Coach Bielema and his coaching staff

Unsurprisingly, Alabama head coach Nick Saban is the top-ranked coach in college football, USA Today has reported. Despite a season where he didn't win his bowl game and lost to Auburn, Saban - who's Crimson Tide team is now the top-ranked team in the nation - still earned $7.1m in total pay in 2013 - including a base salary of $6.9m.
Texas A&M's Kevin Sumlin was the second-most paid in the SEC and the fourth-best coach in college football, pulling in $5m in base salary, and $5.006m total.
LSU's Les Miles earned $4.3m ($4.369m total), and South Carolina's Steve Spurrier earned $4m ($4.016m

Well, Alabama's now the best team in the SEC again after the Crimson Tide beat Mississippi State, while Georgia suffered a phyrric victory while pummelling Auburn - they lost Todd Gurley for the season with a torn ACL (and probably the rest of his career). Meanwhile, we're proud to say Arkansas fans have their first win of the season after shutting out LSU, while Tennessee's on a roll after dismantling a once-again-disappointing Kentucky team. Oh, and there that small game in The Swamp, too...
Anyway, here are your post-Week 12 SEC Power Rankings.
1) Alabama
Crimson Tide still aren't much

It was a strange night for the SEC. A team that got beaten at home by a BIG TEN TEAM went on the road to one of the toughest environments in the SEC.....and won. A team favored by 17 over their young, tortured rivals only won by 3. A team got a monkey off its back. Oh, and people are wondering if Les Miles is completely crazy. Again. All in a week in the SEC....
So here are your Power Rankings. Because Alabama didn't play, they are moving down...
1) Texas A&M (5-0) - They were big favorites to beat Arkansas in JerryWorld, but ended up winning in overtime in a game they SHOULD have probably
