There’s an expression in Britain that says: “They’re a bit of a wanker”. It’s basically the same as what you’d say in the USA about someone being a jerk-off, but with less words. Week 2 Rankings: Ole Miss rules, Georgia needs to play someone

Normally, if a team’s the No.1 team in the nation, then they would usually be No.1 on our SEC rankings. But aside from the fact that Georgia’s schedule is medicore-to-dreadful, they haven’t looked wonderful on offense, and aren’t clicking in enough gears to get the No.1 spot. So here are the rankings: Ole Miss (2-0): Beat Tulane 37-20 and looked increasingly comfortable as the game went on. Judkins is a weapon, and Jaxson Dart is looking increasingly comfortable within the offense. Look, there are still things to iron out (they were 1-13 on 3rd downs), but a ‘scrappy’ offense that wins is better than none at all. SEC Preview: Getting Lucky In Kentucky?

Last year, Kentucky was meant to take a step back after a great 10-3 season in 2021. And it did, with a very ordinary 7-6 record. Will Levis was drafted exactly how we expected him to be drafted (ie not in the first round, and probably won’t even be QB2 in Tennesssee), and Chris Rodriguez has impressed many in Washington after a top preseason after a great career in Lexington. Rivalry Week: SEC game predictions (plus the other one!)

Before we talk about SEC rivalries, let’s think about the one that’s not going to be played this week: Virginia and Virginia Tech. It’s not because of COVID-19. It’s not because of food poisoning through both camps that means both teams can’t field players. Week 6 SEC Preview: LSU – Auburn and A&M-Arkansas highlight the show

This week it’s normal one of the craziest games on the SEC Calendar: LSU vs Auburn. We’ve had burning buildings, missed kicks at the end, last-second touchdowns and the end of Les Miles’ tenure. The Geaux Tigers have won 3 in row and 7 of the last ten, but of those last three games, they’ve been settled by a TOTAL of eight points. With no-one thinking about both sides seriously, it should be fun to at least watch, praying for a Big 12 game to once again break out in Jordan-Hare (if you’ve got the over!). Georgia is the best, LSU one of the worst: Week 3 SEC Ranking

It was a weird week in the SEC. The Big 12 actually had some pretty good, low-scoring games, while the SEC was a scorefest of legendary proportions. Alabama and Ole Miss was 63-48, Missouri beat LSU 45-41, Texas A&M beat Florida 41-38, Auburn beat Arkansas 30-28, Georgia humiliated Tennessee 44-21, South Carolina smashed Vanderbilt 41-7 and the weirdest game was at Lexington, where Kentucky beat Mississippi State 24-2. Let’s not get this wrong – it was a humbling day for losers and winners. Here are our ranks for the SEC this week. 1. Georgia (3-0). Joey Gatewood transfers to Kentucky

Former Auburn QB Joey Gatewood has transferred to Kentucky. Gatewood left the Tigers in the middle of the season when it became obvious that he wouldn’t overtake Bo Nix in Gus Malzahn’s pecking order – a move that was ridiculed by Auburn Nation (at least until the Tigers beat Alabama last week). He came to The Plains in 2018 as a highly-recruited player, where he totalled 5 touchdowns and over 200 yards in combined passing and rushing. It is expected that junior Lynn Bowden, who has carried the team with 1,235 yards and 11 TDs (including 284 against Louisville) after coverting from the wide receiver spot will return to his original place.
