Wasn’t it just a minute ago we were thinking about Spring Games and Auburn had a ton of hope for Jeremy Johnson, and Alabama was worrying about who their quarterback would be, and Georgia was being talked about as a play-off contender? Here’s the list of players, per SEC Country…. We’ll add a little bit about (most of) the players so you know a bit more about them… Alabama RB Kenyan Drake – There will be a lot of focus on his 40 and speed drills after Drake’s injury in 2014 to see if he’s FULLY returned. Drake’s numbers weren’t great last year due to the dominance of Derrick Henry. RB Derrick Henry –

Will Alabama win at Georgia? Week 5 SEC Predictions

After a weekly state that saw Tennessee and Arkansas choke away leads, Ole Miss and LSU cough a lot against Vanderbilt and Syracuse respectively, and Auburn not manage to score a touchdown against Mississippi State, this week’s back with a vengeance with a monster clash between National Championship Contenders Georgia and Alabama in Athens. So without further ado, here’s ranking your SEC games for Week 5… No.13 Alabama at No.8 Georgia Alabama’s record against Georgia is a good one: 37-25-4, with the Crimson Tide winning the last two, which included an incredible SEC Championship Game and a 41-30 stuffing of the Bulldogs in Athens in 2008. Ranking and Predicting Saturday’s SEC games – Week 2

With Tennessee playing Oklahoma, LSU visited Clangaville (Mississippi State), South Carolina playing Kentucky and Georgia playing Vanderbilt (as the CBS games – probably so CBS can say they’ve shown Vanderbilt this season), it’s going to be an interesting-but-not-that-interesting Week 2 of the 2015 College Football Season. So here’s how we rank ’em…. LSU at Mississippi State Starkville’s going to be ROCKING on Saturday. The cowbells will be clanging, the screaming will be loud, and LSU will take a deep breath. Florida 2015 Preview: In Defense We Trust

Will Muschamp pissed off a lot of Florida Gators fans in 2014, as the team stumbled to 7-5 and 4-4 in the SEC. It wasn’t really about the defense- they were great – it was about the goddawful offense. The goddawful offense was — you’ve got it — goddawful. The great defense simply couldn’t do anything about it. And now Jim McElwain’s been hired away from Colorado State, and Florida Gators fans are already furious at McElwain for his failure to choose between Treon Harris and Will Grier as to who will be the starting QB on Saturday. His line: “Treon Harris will start but Will Grier will play some” didn’t exactly sit well with a Gator faithful destroyed by

Florida turnaround not going to happen ‘overnight’ – McElwain

The turnaround of the Florida Gators isn’t going to happen overnight, new coach Jim McElwain has said. McElwain, who came from Colorado State after head coach Will Muschamp was ousted from Gainseville after an awful 2014 (led by an horrific offense), said at the SEC Media Days: “I think part of the experience of being in this conference is realizing it doesn’t happen just overnight,” he said. He was full of praise of standout corner Vernon Hargreaves, who could well be a Top 5 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft: “I love the way this guy comes to work every day. The way he practices, the way he thrives in competition, and not only that, the way he takes care

Can Ole Miss rebound to beat Auburn? Will Georgia win the Cocktail Party? SEC Week 10 Preview

If someone told you at the start of the year that the Ole Miss versus Auburn game would be the biggest game of the football season to date, they’d send you back to the crackhouse with Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. But it’s true: War Eagle’s visit to The Grove will represent the clash of two of the four teams in the College Football Play-Off Committee (Auburn was voted No.3 and Ole Miss No.4), with the loser seemingly going to get booted out of contention. College Gameday, after visiting SEC schools – including two Missisippi schools- three times in four weeks – has decided to go up to Morgantown for the TCU’s visit of West Virginia. We hope they’ve brought their
