Week 2 Rankings: Ole Miss rules, Georgia needs to play someone

Normally, if a team’s the No.1 team in the nation, then they would usually be No.1 on our SEC rankings. But aside from the fact that Georgia’s schedule is medicore-to-dreadful, they haven’t looked wonderful on offense, and aren’t clicking in enough gears to get the No.1 spot. So here are the rankings: Ole Miss (2-0): Beat Tulane 37-20 and looked increasingly comfortable as the game went on. Judkins is a weapon, and Jaxson Dart is looking increasingly comfortable within the offense. Look, there are still things to iron out (they were 1-13 on 3rd downs), but a ‘scrappy’ offense that wins is better than none at all. I’m sorry, Alabama and Georgia’s hires underwhelmed us

This cycle, Alabama and Georgia were once again dominant in the recruiting game. Nick Saban was told that Alabama’s time was done, and Kirby Smart’s swear-fest at the National Championship didn’t turn out to be true, but **** that, it was a blast. And both teams are going to have players in the first round in the NFL. But this offseason, it’s hard to be thrilled by their coordinator hires. ALABAMA WHO LEFT? The Players to watch for Alabama vs Georgia

It’s the biggest game of the season, and it’s probably the biggest game of most regular seasons since the LSU vs Alabama 9-6 debacle in 2011. So who are the players to watch? GEORGIA Stetson Bennett (QB): Bennett has been the perfect game manager since coming on in the second half of the Arkansas game. To say the least, he’s been an amazing success, throwing for 958 yards and 5 TDS. He’s not been spectacular, but he’s one of the most accurate passers in the country, with a QB rating of 93.5. He hasn’t thrown an interception either. He’ll face an Alabama secondary that was ripped to piece by Ole Miss last week, and is definitely trying to find itself.

Will Alabama or Georgia win the National Championship?

Suck it, Ohio State. Suck it, Clemson. Suck it, Oklahoma. The SEC’s got two teams playing in the National Championship game. That’s right – in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium fans all over America will tune into Monday to a game they most feared: An all-SEC Natty featuring Alabama and – to less an extent – Georgia.
