FLast week was one HELL of a weekend for Georgia, Florida, Texas A&M and LSU, who all saw their National Championship and SEC Championship hopes eviscerated by Vanderbilt, Missouri, Auburn and Ole Miss respectively. Meanwhile, The Tide rolled. Anyway, things are a bit easier to predict in the SEC this weekend, but we’re nevertheless giving our tips. Georgia and Florida fans, you can actually watch this weekend: This week’s not involving you. GAME OF THE WEEK SOUTH CAROLINA AT MISSOURI We can’t understand why College Gameday isn’t in Columbia, or CBS Sports have decided to go for a horror of a game of Alabama and Tennessee, which is going to be over by half-time (charitably). Anyway, Missouri’s beaten defenses with

Under The Hot Seat: 10 SEC Coordinators At Risk Of Getting Fired

Right, it’s ‘Hot Seat’ time in the SEC, and by these standards, it’s pretty quiet. Maybe it’s because there was a bit of balance in the conference this week, or maybe it’s because everyone’s muttering along, quietly ____ off that things aren’t going the way they wanted it. You know, apart from Alabama. Anyone, one of the SEC’s biggest questions has surrounded our goddawful defenses (anyone but Alabama and maybe Florida). And while we would love to give a Top 14 list of HEAD COACHES who might get their ass booted come the end of the season, that comes later. We thank The ‘Around Aggieland’ podcast for inspiring us. They were pretty pissed at defensive coordinator Mark Snyder. So here

Big Statues, Big SEC Rivals, Big Amusement

While we were watching the Brits celebrate their first-ever (male) Wimbledon crown since God was a boy (77 years, as it goes), this popped up on our Twitter Feed from Reddit: “If you could erect a statue of one person in front of your biggest rival’s stadium, who would it be and what would they be doing?” To say that we nearly urinated our underwear laughing would be an understatement. And then the imagination kicked in. So here are our ones for all SEC schools. SEC EAST FOR FLORIDA: We’re going with a big, long spear, which will be flamed up every time Florida and Florida State play each other. That’s because Bobby Bowden had a 7-4 record against Spurrier

The days after Armageddon: SEC Rankings (With apologies)

First Alabama – LSU happened. Then Obama happened. Sorry boys and gals, we haven’t been as up-to-date as we should be with our SEC rankings. Anyway, here they are… 1. Alabama – Survived LSU. You have to wonder what John Chavis was doing playing soft coverage though in that last drive. 2 = Georgia – Woke up from a 10-0 deficit against Ole Miss to hammer Ole Reb 37-10 in a performance that got stronger by the minute. We look forward to the SEC Championship Game, Dawgs. 2= LSU – A team very like Georgia who only woke up in the second half of the Alabama game. Atmosphere second-to-none in Death Valley, by the way. Good on you, LSU fans.

Quick SEC reaction: Week 3

What a Week 3 it was. While Tennessee fans once again spat bullets about losing to Florida at home, they managed to drown their beers and sip some champagne as Lane Kiffin and No.2  USC lost at Pac-12 rival Stanford, we once again had evidence that there’s only one team out there in College Football at the moment: Alabama. The SEC has a lot to catch up. Anyway, here’s the top 10 things about our SEC teams this week: 1) Tennessee lost the game against Florida because it had no running game and its wide receivers couldn’t make easy catches. And when we’re talking easy, we’re talking ones like Justin Hunter’s that absolutely killed the team’s drive. And also, the

THURSDAY South Carolina at Vanderbilt Everyone’s talking about Vanderbilt’s potential to upset USC in Nashville on College Football Kick-Off Night on Thursday night, but if Steve Spurrier gets Marcus Lattimore rolling and Connor Shaw finds a wide receiver or two, then James Franklin’s got his work cut-out. Sure, people believe in Jordan Rodgers, but will Vandy’s offensive line
