If there was a college football play-off for teams that throw players off the team, Georgia and Texas would be your undisputed No.1 teams. Georgia probably took the lead a bit (partnered with Texas letting a player back on the team) when Freshman DB Shaq Jones was booted after being arrested for misdemeanour theft by shoplifting.

Richt said in a statement: “We have certain expectations and standards that we require of all our players. When those expectations and standards are not met, the opportunity to be a part of our program is sacrificed.

To start the week, Georgia had seen Sheldon Dawson leave the team. It is not known how Dawson left the team.

Jones had originally committed to Lousiville before deciding on Georgia later this year.

BOTTOM LINE: Georgia’s secondary was already horrible going into this week…..and is now much lighter.
